Special Educational Needs

Our SEN Department is comprised of a group of eleven teaching assistants, including two qualified HLTAs, line-managed by the school's SENCO, Mr, Neill Campbell. We aim to ensure that the majority of the support is delivered in class and is organised according to the specific needs of the pupils on the SEN profile. Some pupils receive 1:1 support and others are supported within a small group. A range of different support strategies is used - from providing differentiated tasks and the use of different resources to the use of specific equipment - which allows pupils to have improved access to all areas of the curriculum.

For further information, you can download details of our SEND Offer and a summary of SEN provision in diagrammatic form .
